Palm Pixi Debut in U.S.

Officially, Sunday (15/11) yesterday became the debut prime Smartphone Palm Pixi. Artificial latest Palm smartphone is already available for Sprint customers, CDMA-based cellular operator in the U.S..

The price is tempting enough that the U.S. dollar, or $99.99. However, that price after mail-in rebate (refund) 100 U.S. dollars over the purchase and subscription contracts are cheaper unlimited data 70 U.S. dollars per month.

Palm Pixi is the second product that uses the Palm operating system following the Palm Pre WebOS. This operating system supports multiple applications to run simultaneously in one time and integrates the entire list of contacts in the messaging features, email, and calendar.

Palm Pre similar appearance by dressing in black casing, kayborad QWERTY, and the multitouch touch sensitive screen. Only 2.6 inch screen, smaller than the Palm screen is 3.1 inch Pre. Pixi Palm also did not like the bar-shaped Palm Pre slide that provides the option to hide the keyboard below the screen.

Leisure surfing the web remains the Palm Pixi bargaining power as its predecessor products. Web browser displays full web pages with the zoom function. Still no WiFi feature as an alternative to Sprint's network is already using the technology CDMA2000 1X-EVDO.

Interestingly again, Palm Pre Touchstone equipped Palm technology that can be recharged without being flashy cable into socket. Touchstone is a battery recharging technology with electrical induction. However, this feature requires a special charger dock sold separately.
